
John L. Cipriano, Jr., is a founding member of the firm and has been a lawyer for over 40 years. His areas of practice include Collections, Real Estate, Estate Planning and Probate, and Business Law.
His collection practice includes statewide representation of leading companies in the healthcare, banking, and credit union industries. He has lectured to the regional creditor and hospital audiences regarding collection practices and laws and has prepared and presented material through Lorman Education Services, a national continuing education provider. John is also a co-author of the book “Connecticut Closing Practice (a Lawyers Guide to Residential Real Estate Closings With Forms)” published by The Atlantic Law Book Company. In addition, he has served as a Police Commissioner for the Town of Hamden, Secretary to the Hamden Charter Revision Commission, and as a co-director of the Legacy and Planned Giving Committee for the Connecticut South Central Region of the American Cancer Society.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1974, He received his B.S. degree from the University of School of Business in 1970 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville in 1974. He is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of Connecticut, the federal U.S. District Court, and the United States Supreme Court.
